If you have "T's" in my rollbook that means you have tardies. You have until Friday the 10th so be sure you serve an hour detention for each tardy that you have in my class. There is no food drive currently going on so no cans can be brought this time. Please serve your detentions before or after school. Bring me the pink slip showing that you servered it by Friday.

DUE NO LATER THAN JUNE 8TH:

10 points extra credit. Since we are talking about the Nervous System right now in, I would like you to read this fasinating article about the brain.

To get the extra credit, take cornell notes on this article. Put all of the bold subheadings in the left side of your notes. Make sure your summary is a good one if you want full credit for the assignment. Include some things that you thought were particularly interesting and what you can do personally to have a more fit brain.

You have 14 days to enjoy the award winning website called BrainPOP. Use the username and password given to you in class. You can explore on your own, take the quizzes, and enjoy learning. Concentrate on the health section of the site that covers the immune system and various infectious diseases that we are covering in chapter 39.

1. Go to http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/aids/immune.html
I also put a link to this in the Science Links on the right of the blog.
2. Click on "Shockwave version of Fighting Back"
3. Play the game (press the Begin button)
4. Click on the "Help Me" button and read about how to play and what is happening.
5. Have fun and play some more.
6. Click "Help Me" button again, then "just show me what happens"
7. Your job is to illustrate each of these windows and put appropriate captions on each.
8. Be sure you go through all of the slides.
