Just a reminder to get all of your papers together and complete. Most of these papers had to do with DNA and Genes...CH. 11. Do not put any of the genetics work that we have done into this packet.

Genetics

I'd like to introduce everyone to Gregor Mendel. He is known as the "Father of Genetics." We will be exploring his various experiments this week. Please read section 10.1 to become familiar with the new vocabulary. It's going to be a great unit. Hope you're ready to learn! :-)

Another extra-credit assignment

This one is due by 1-12-05. Go to the biology book site and take the online quiz for chapter 11. You must score 80% or higher and e-mail it to me to get the 10 points.

Ch. 11 Exam

Study for the large chapter test that will be probably on Wednesday. It will mostly fill-in. We will have a study guide that will help you tremendously....IF YOU DO IT!

DNA Project- Extra Credit

Go to this PBS website and watch the video on James Watson. Create what he created as he talks about how he discovered the shape of DNA. Make it look as much like James Watson's as possible. Include a explanation of your project.

15 points.

By the way, this British two pound coin was issued to commemorate Watson and Crick's discovery of the structure of DNA. They were both from England.
