10 points extra credit. Since we are talking about the Nervous System right now in, I would like you to read this fasinating article about the brain.

To get the extra credit, take cornell notes on this article. Put all of the bold subheadings in the left side of your notes. Make sure your summary is a good one if you want full credit for the assignment. Include some things that you thought were particularly interesting and what you can do personally to have a more fit brain.

Concentrate on the health section of the site that covers the immune system and various infectious diseases that we are covering in chapter 39.

There isn't any one out there that does not need more points in my class. So here is an extra credit assignment that is due no later than Thursday, April 28th.

1. Go to http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/aids/immune.html
I also put a link to this in the Science Links on the right of the blog.
2. Click on "Shockwave version of Fighting Back"
3. Play the game (press the Begin button)
4. Click on the "Help Me" button and read about how to play and what is happening.
5. Have fun and play some more.
6. Click "Help Me" button again, then "just show me what happens"
7. Your job is to illustrate each of these windows and put appropriate captions on each.
8. Be sure you go through all of the slides.
